Star Trek: Nemesis

The unusual components of auto and aero parts were applied to the vacuum formed Romulan armor. Cords were lashed over and through holes in the armor and the small metal industrial parts acted as design embellishment as well as elements of utility. Accessories such as belts and harnesses were also assembled and woven in a decorative fashion, creating an artisanal passementerie feel that evoked disciplines such as macramé.
