TRON: Legacy

“I was Jeff Bridge’s Cutter on Tron: Legacy, working with designers Michael Wilkinson and Christine Bieselin Clark to achieve a powerfully clean elegance for Jeff’s Kevin Flynn character. For Flynn’s cream meditation suit and his black hooded cloak of lights, the simplicity was deceptive, for intricate tailoring techniques were implemented to create an architectural structure and shape, and we devised an undervest apparatus to support the heavy light disc on his back, which had the outward appearance of effortless suspension. Together, we worked with specialty light technicians to install the intricate network of LED light strips around the perimeter of the cloak and hood, while creating hiding places for the battery packs.” -SL
